Claiming, with some justification, to be the “Capital of Europe,” quirky Brussels is home to the EU, and is adept at melding many cultures into one beguiling city. Mixing art nouveau architecture with beautiful medieval streets, Brussels’ museums offer excellent art, the National Opera House has celebrated music, and diners can sample the world-famous beer and chocolate in limitless cafes and restaurants in the “petit ring” of the city center.
Antwerpen
Antwer is a city and municipality in Belgium and the capital of the Antwerp province in Flanders. Antwerp has long been an important city in the nations of the Benelux both economically and culturally, especially before the Spanish Fury of the Dutch Revolt. It is located on the right bank of the river Scheldt, which is linked to the North Sea by the Westerschelde.
Brugge
Bruges is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located in the northwest of the country.The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO.
Along with a few other canal-based northern cities, it is sometimes referred to as "The Venice of the North".
Bruges has a significant economic importance thanks to its port, and is also home to the College of Europe.
Gent
Gent is a city and a municipality located in the Flemish region province, Belgium. It is the capital and biggest city of the East Flanders. The city started as a settlement at the confluence of the Rivers Scheldt and Lys and became in the Middle Ages one of the largest and richest cities of northern Europe. Today it is a busy city with a port and a university.
